The VarsityToolkit Insider Tip
Wits uses a specific scoring system where Life Orientation is strictly excluded from your APS. Additionally, unlike many other universities, Wits gives double points for Mathematics and English if you achieve a Level 5 or higher (up to a maximum of 8 points per subject) for most programs in the Science and Engineering faculties. Be sure to check the specific weighting for your chosen degree before calculating your final score.
If you have your results ready but aren't sure how the math adds up, we’ve made it simple for you. Navigate to the VarsityToolkit Wits APS Calculator to get your total in seconds.
